Is being too rich ruining my cat?

I had my exhaust system with a carsound high flow cat installed last week. Everything was fine for a few days until just now a CEL is showing. Code # 67, cat failure. Is being too rich ruining my cat? My idle fuel pressure is at 48 psi. I have the Cartech 20005 FMU. If I lean it out some, will the CEL go away?

When I pull the fuse and reset, the CEL goes away, but it comes back up after driving it around for a while.
